Portrait Painting in Oil

The two day workshop with Susan was a huge success! She did a
demonstration of how she paints a portrait while Joe Collard sat as
her model. She talked about her thought process and why she
makes the color choices she does that distinguish one of her
paintings from other artists. Based on the feedback she received
for her students prior to the workshop, she did an in-depth
demonstration on "turning the head". With the benefit of Susan's
personal interaction and coaching throughout the workshop, the
attending students took away additional skills and theory to make
their next portrait their best!

SARAH KITAGAWA
"WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE"

This composition and design workshop will be taught by Sarah
Kitagawa October 13, 15 and 15, 2009 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
at the Robinson Road Community Center, 27434 Robinson
Road, Conroe, Texas. Sarah is an Elite Signature Member of
the Watercolor Art Society - Houston but this workshop is
applicable to artists in all media. Moreover, Sarah is thoughtful,
