Monday Portrait Group

This group starts on Monday, September 15, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The group will meet at Robinson Road Community center, at the corner of Robinson Rd. and Sarah Drive, which is at the rail road trcks. When going East on Woodlands Parkway over I-45, it's 6/10th of a mile from the highway in Oak Ridge North. At the end of Robinson Rd.

WAL Library Shows

Library Shows are scheduled for Sept 2, at South County Library and Nov 1, at Mitchell Library. Both locations offer glass shelves for 3-D and hanging for 2-D.

The Library Show will be on Tuesday, September 2, South County Library. Members should take their artwork between 3:30 and 4:30. Don't be late. The library ladies try to scoot us out. Helpers would be appreciated. Lonnie and Dru will be setting up the flats at 3:15. Glass shelves will be available for 3-D work. For those who cannot make the time deadline on Tuesday, hanging pins and cards are usually behind a Dru painting. Please call and register with Dru for late work. There will be sign-up sheets available at the monthly WAL meeting on August 28.

Young Artist Explorers Program

Dates for the fall, 2008 YAE programs are Nov. 8 and 15 -- same set up as in the past. Saturday mornings, with kids coming in at 10 am.. -11:30 a.m.Nov. 8 will be at Mitchell and Nov. 15 at South. We will be Exploring Mosaics and "Rocks/gems". Our 2009 dates are not confirmed, but should be the last Sat of Feb and first Sat.of March.
