This class is designed to develop the student’s imaginative skills in the art of illustration using one’s personal experiences as a spring board to taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. This class will emphasize drawing and painting skills in cartooning, and short animations.

Adventures in Mixed Media

This class will concentrate on how to incorporate 2 or more mediums into one work of art. We will focus on a variety of subject matters such as still life, landscape, cityscape, waterscape, animals, nature, and imagery of the mind, abstract-style artwork. All students will get a chance to work in a variety of mediums and learn how they work together in collage, printmaking, drawing/ painting, and a 3-D art project.
Afternoon 1-4 Ages: 7-12.

Bio: Beth is a retired Art teacher of 27 years. She has many years of experience focused on the
elementary and middle school age student. Her projects are engaging and made easy through her
knowledge of the processes and practices in creating art.
Beth is an artist and enjoys drawing and painting in watercolors, acrylics, oils and many other
mediums.
