Painting and Drawing  for Adults and Older Teens

Tuesdays:  

Morning: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm 

Afternoon: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm 

  Evenings: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Overview:

This class is intended for beginning through advanced students.

The objective of this class to gain drawing and painting skills and at the same time have fun.  These classes are meant to help each student meet their individual artistic goals and complete individualized projects.  An emphasis on strong drawing skill is reinforced, taught and encouraged.

It is recommended that beginning students start with a series of drawing exercises from the Charles Bargue Drawing Course to develop a foundation of drawing techniques and terminology.  Once the basic drawing exercises are completed students will then be encouraged to complete more advanced drawing and painting projects of their favorite subjects.

Intermediate students will work on more challenging drawing and painting projects that may include drawing from reference photos and still life.   

Classes are on going from month to month and you can start at any time however, registration is monthly on the WAL website. 

Tuition: All classes are payable in advance on a monthly basis

  • 2 hour class once a week - $25 / hour (members) -  $30 / hour (non-members)  
  • 3 hour class once a week - $25 / hour (members) -  $30 / hour (non-members) 

Class size is limited to 8 students.
